Chinese handset maker Vivo is looking to start a manufacturing plant in Greater Noida by October with an initial investment of Rs 12.5 crore.

NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker Vivo is looking to start a manufacturing plant in Greater Noida by October with an initial investment of Rs 12.5 crore. It aims to sell two million handsets by the end of this year, with 4G LTE devices accounting for 40 per cent of the sales. "We have taken 30,000 square metres of land on lease in Greater Noida and expect to start assembling our smartphones by October 2015. In the first phase (till December 2015), we will invest Rs 12.5 crore in the facility," said Alex Feng, CEO of Vivo India and chief marketing officer of Vivo Global.
