Videocon launches feature phone range for rural market

NEW DELHI: Videocon Mobile Phones, the devices arm of the Videocon Group, Thursday introduced V-Style series of feature phones, priced between Rs1,299 and Rs2,950.
The V-Style Series features the ‘Smart’, ‘Mega’, ‘Grande’, ‘Curve’, ‘Flip’ and ‘Mini’ feature phones, the company said in a statement.

Videocon Mobile Phones targets the aspiring youth audience within the age group of 15-35 years in small towns across various states. The V-Style portfolio will be supported by "India Ka Naya Style Vstyle” campaign, which will be used across major markets in India.

The ‘V-Style’ Smart is a touch phone with an attractive ID and high resolution touch screen. It comes preloaded with applications like Facebook and Whatsapp and is priced at Rs 2,950.

The ‘V-Style’ Mega features a 3-inch IPS display and is priced at Rs 1,999, while the ‘V-Style’Curve is available at Rs 1749.

The Grande is a feature phone which comes with back covers available in Blue, Black panel color options & a free white panel with it. The phone is priced at Rs. 1899.

The 'V-Style' Flip is priced at Rs 1,749, while the ‘V-Style’Mini is the cheapest amongst all the new devices and comes for Rs 1299.

"With this range we bring back style in the feature phone category and introduce the range as a game changer," Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones, said in the statement.
