Transcend India launches 2.5-inch portable hard drive
Storage devices maker Transcend Information on Monday announced the availability of its new 2.5 inch portable hard drive, with up to 500 GB of storage space priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 11,000.

NEW DELHI: Storage devices maker Transcend Information on Monday announced the availability of its new 2.5 inch portable hard drive, with up to 500 GB of storage space priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 11,000.
"Combining its huge storage capacity with designer gloss diamond pattern and lustrous metallic finish, the StoreJet 25F is truly a marriage of technology and style. We are confident that our customers will appreciate this storage solution," Transcend Regional Head (Sales-SAARC and APAC) Austin Huang said in a statement.
The devices will be made available through Redington, Supertron, Mediaman and Bharti Teletech. The 160 GB version is priced at Rs 5,000, the 320 GB version at Rs 6,500 and the 500 GB version at Rs 11,000.
It comes with StoreJet elite data-management tools like Web site AutoLogin, Mobile Favorites with NoTrace Internet browsing, Secret-Zip file encryption, Mobile Email, Online Update and intelligent backup scheduling, security and file compression functions.
It can be used on most operating systems like Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Mac and Linux.
