PC, Tablet, mobile shipments to grow 6.9% this year: Gartner

Tablets sales are forecast to grow 38% this year, driven by faster adoption of low-cost, non-branded models in markets outside the US, according to Gartner. Worldwide the combined shipments of devices—PCs, tablets, ultramobiles and mobile phones—will reach 2.5 billion units this year, growing faster at 6.9% compared with 4.8% in 2013.
