PC sales cross five million mark in FY'06

Personal computer sales has crossed the five million-unit mark in 2005-06, registering a 32 per cent growth over the previous fiscal.

NEW DELHI: Personal computer sales has crossed the five million-unit mark in 2005-06, registering a 32 per cent growth over the previous fiscal.

Overall shipments of personal computers, including desktops and notebooks, is expected to exceed six million units in the current fiscal, with desktop sales alone expected to account for 5.6 million, according to industry tracking body MAIT (Manufacturers Association of Information Technology).
