Pantel Tech to launch 3G tablet in October
IT hardware company Pantel Technologies will launch a third generation (3G) 9.7 inch tablet PC in October. The company, which started operations in March 2012, has sold over one lakh tablet PCs in July.
"We are working on a host of products. We are planning 3G 9.7 inch model with a dual core processor which will be launched by October this year," Pantel Technologies Managing Director Vijender Singh said.
The company, however, did not reveal the price range of the tablet.

"Demand is mainly coming from the education sector," he said.
The company has a tie-up with state-run BSNL to offer various data plans to customers.
"BSNL has a mandate to increase broadband penetration in rural and semi-urban areas of the country. To achieve this, you need a computing device and Penta tablet PC fits in the category," he added.
Pentel has its manufacturing facility at Bangalore with a capacity of 1.5 lakh tablets in one shift production. It has a dealership network in 540 districts of the country.
