Oplus lunches XonPad7 in India

The device comes with 1280X800 multi-touch IPS display, a 5 MP rear camera with auto focus capability along with a 2 MP front shooter.

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese company Oplus'Indian arm, Oplus India has entered the Indian market with their XonPad 7 tablet. The tablet which is priced at Rs. 9990 comes with a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch, Quad Core 1.2 GHZ processor and a 1GB DDR3 RAM. The tablet has been launched in an exclusive partnership with e-commerce marketplace player Snapdeal, and as of now, is only available online at Snapdeal.com.

Ranadip Kundu, Sales Director, Oplus said that they might go with other channels after gauging the market response. Oplus is aiming to gain traction primarily on the basis of its price point together with competitive features. "We are targeting the youth of India and looking to give them the best mobility experience at the best price," said Kundu.

The device comes with 1280X800 multi-touch IPS display, a 5 MP rear camera with auto focus capability along with a 2 MP front shooter. It packs 16GB, Nand Flash memory that is expandable up to 32GB.

Commenting on the partnership, Tony Navin, VP-Business Development, Snapdeal.com said, "We intend to hit the $1 bn mark in sales in the next year and expect a good 30% of this to come from mobiles and tablets. We've have always been keen to associate with entrants who have promising products and have seen several such products becoming a runaway success."

Oplus has also tied up with Afforserv for after sales service of the device.
