Olive Telecom launches OliveSmart at Rs 20,000

Handset maker Olive Telecom today launched a new Android-based smartphone, in association with Aircel, priced at about Rs 20,000.

NEW DELHI: Handset maker Olive Telecom today launched a new Android-based smartphone, in association with Aircel, priced at about Rs 20,000.

The handset is equipped with 4.1-inch touch-screen, 3G HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, 5MP camera and up to 32 GB expandable memory.

"This device promises to be a game-changer with its rich looks and advanced features like 3G HSPA+, Android Gingerbread and HD video. With our sizeable R&D investments, we are well-positioned to compete with the world's leading brands," Arun Khanna, Chairman, Olive Telecom told reporters here.

"Aircel is delighted to enter into a Preferred Partnership with Olive wherein Olive Customers will enjoy exclusive data plans and a rich bouquet of content and value added services," Gurdeep Singh, COO, Aircel said.
