Obi Mobiles launches flagship smartphone for Rs 11,990
The 'Octopus S520', which will be sold exclusively through online marketplace Snapdeal in the country, sports a five-inch display.

The smartphone will be initially available only on e-commerce website Snapdeal.
"From hardware specifications to the quality of accessories, there are no compromises whatsoever, because we know our young customers conduct their lives around their smartphones," Ajay Sharma, Chief Executive, Obi Mobiles, said in a statement.
The Octopus S520 features a 5-inch HD (720x1280p) IPS display and is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor. The smartphone comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot.
The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of the operating system. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB 2.0.
On the camera front, the dual-sim (3G+3G) phone features an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The device has an 1800mAh battery.
The phone package contains a flip cover, a screen protector along with a USB Charger and in-ear bud type ear phones as a standard offering.
The device will be supported by a country wide network of over 95 service centres for after sale support, the company said.
Obi Mobiles is aiming 2% market share and expects to sell 1.6 to 1.7 million smartphone units this year, Sharma told ET recently.
