Nokia retains top slot in mobile sales in 2012

India’s smartphone sales formed just 6.8% of the total cellular phones sold in 2012, according to Cybermedia.



India’s smartphone sales formed just 6.8% of the total cellular phones sold in 2012, according to Cybermedia. While Samsung took the No. 1 slot in smartphones, homegrown company Micromax came third in both feature phones as well as overall sales.


Market share down to 21.8% from 31% in 2011.
