New iPads launch today

Just over a month after announcing the next generation iPads, Apple is launching the new tablets in India in partnership with its channel partners. The iPad Air is the fifth generation iPad since the device was launched in 2010. It has the same 9.7-inch screen but the primary difference is a dramatic reduction in weight and screen bezels while upgrading the internals and keeping the great battery life intact.

The iPad Mini has also been upgraded with a retina display (2048 x 1536 pixels) and new hardware. Older versions of the iPad and iPad Mini will continue to be sold alongside these new models, albeit at reduced prices.
