Among those devices, industry experts believe that one of them is the Nexus 6 which is rumored to be developed by Motorola. Other contenders for the balance 7 top-spots include a possible successor to the Moto G, the Moto X successor, as well as DROID handsets which will be powered by Verizon, keeping in line with Motorola's long-standing partnership with the carrier.
It is interesting to note that these devices haven't yet been given the green signal. Rumors have surfaced claiming that the handsets will depend on one another. This translates to the fact that unless one handset does well, the future of the rest of the unreleased handsets may be uncertain. This also means that even though Motorola may have 8 devices in the making, there is a possibility that not all of them will be making their way into the market.
Having said that, even plans to release 8 phones by the end of the year is quite an achievement for Motorola, especially since the company didn't do well the previous year where handset releases were concerned. In this case, only time will tell about how many of those 8 handsets actually make their way into the hands of the consumer.
