Mobile phone shipments up 12.44 % in Q2

Mobile handset shipments in India reached 47 million units during the July-September quarter, up 12.44% .

NEW DELHI Mobile handset shipments in India reached 47 million units during the July-September quarter, up 12.44% sequentially on account of new launches in a growing market. The shipments grew from 41.8 million units in the April-June quarter, ahead of festive season buying, according to CyberMedia’s Mobile Handsets Market Review, September 2011.
