Microtek to make mobile handset

PATNA: Microtek, premier producer of energy saver equipments, has decided to make mobile handset later this year, its Vice-President Manoj Jain said on Monday.

"We will launch our mobile handsets in states like Bihar, Jharkhand and Haryana around Diwali festival," he told reporters here.

The company has a target of selling about 25000 to 30000 handsets in the first three months.

Referring to its benchmark business of UPS, batteries and related power saver equipments, Jain said that it was a leading manufacturer in this sector for past one decade and had a base customer of over 10 crores.
