Microsoft's Lumia 550 is official - and it's going to be cheap

Microsoft's has just announced the Lumia 550 alongside at its Surface event in New York but failed to share many details of the new phone.

The Lumia 550 is set to be a budget handset with full LTE connectivity and a quad-core processor on board - but so far that's all we know for specs.

It'll be launching in December in the US for $139 but there's no word on whether it'll be coming to other markets or how much it's going to cost.

We'll pry Microsoft for some more details of the new phone but for now all the focus is on the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
