Microsoft Exchange Server largest on-premise email solution

NEW DELHI: Microsoft today said Ascentius, a research firm, has judged its Exchange Server platform to own 78 per cent of market share in India.

The US-based firm claimed that this development makes it the largest on-premise email solution provider.

"The finding of the study, Evolving Market for Email and Collaboration Platform in India, shows Microsoft's Exchange Server platform owns 78 per cent market share making it the largest on-premise email solution provider," it said in a release.

Office 365 is the leader in the public cloud email and collaboration services market with a 70 per cent market share, it added.

According to the study, total revenue across on-premise, hosted and cloud based email and collaboration platform is expected to grow to USD 111 million by 2015 in India.
