Logitech bets big on wireless products; launches keyboard, speakers, mouse and gaming controller

CHENNAI: Aiming to garner larger market share in wireless segment, computer peripherals maker Logitech today launched a series of products.

The range of products includes wireless keyboard, bluetooth-enabled wireless speakers, a wireless mouse and a wireless gaming controller.

"Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse T630 can connect via Bluetooth to multiple devices, and one can easily switch them with a flip of a switch...," Logitech Electronic India Cluster Marketing Manager Ashok Jangra told reporters here after unveiling the products.

While the Ultrathin Touch Mouse is priced at Rs 6,495, the company for the first time launched bluetooth speakers under the sub-Rs 5,000 category, he said.

"It is priced at Rs 2,995. It is rechargeable bluetooth wireless speaker and can be played for five hours non-stop. This can be connected with tablet, smartphones or mobile phones. It also has a microphone making people to talk through the device instead of using smartphones," he said.

The company on the occasion also launched PowerShell Controller that provides console-style gaming controls particularly for users of iPhone 5s, iPhone 5 or iPod running iOS7. "It is available at Rs 8,995 and it can also recharge the phone...," he said.

On the launch of wireless keyboard 'Touch Keyboard K400r' he said it is equipped with a slim form and keyboard priced at Rs 3,495 which would provide wireless control for laptop and smart television sets.
