Lava Mobile launched the Pixel V2 in India today, with a heavy emphasis on its camera capabilities.

The 13 megapixel primary camera boasts an aperture of f2.0 and comes with dual LED flash. Lava claims that the camera comes with a blue glass filter that cuts out infrared light for better colours in outdoor shots. The front camera is an impressive 8MP and comes with its own flash. It's a pretty wide angle at 84 degrees, and if you still can't fit everyone in the frame, it also has a panorama selfie mode, which should be interesting.

Fashion photographer Subi Samuel was present at the event, endorsing the camera capabilities of the device "I use this device for my photography on the go and am fully satisfied with it. I am sure consumers will have the same experience."

The specs of the device include a 64-bit octa-core processor from the MediaTek 6735 family and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The 5-inch display is just 720x1280, which is a bit low-end by today's standards. It comes with 16GB of storage along with the option for expandable storage via a micro SD card. The Pixel V2 is powered by a 2,500mAh non-removable Li Polymer battery.

The Lava Pixel V2 is available now at online and brick and mortar stores for Rs 10,750.
