Karbonn plans to launch new Android phone
NEW DELHI: Domestic handset manufacturer Karbonn Mobiles has said it remains committed to Android One, Google’s version of the operating system for emerging markets, despite initial failure and may come out with a new smartphone with better specifications and higher prices soon.

"We are still evaluating the next round of launch, and are thinking on bringing a device that would be significantly differentiated from Android One offering coming from other vendors," executive director Shashin Devsare told ET. "Google is our strategic partner and we have a very thick equation with them. We are their Google Mobile Services licensee."
