JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer: You can get new JioPhone for Rs 501 from today

Reliance Jio has made its JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer live to give consumers new JioPhone in exchange with their old feature phones plus Rs 501. The scheme was announced by Mukesh Ambani in RIL's 41st Annual General Meeting early this month. Ambani had announced that buyers could exchange their old feature phone with JiPhone for Rs 501 from July 21.

Almost one year after its launch, JioPhone has also got some significant feature updates. The feature phone has a voice assistant now. This means you can command the phone to perform some actions including calling, sending SMS, opening YouTube or WhatsApp and browsing Facebook. The features were demonstrated live during the AGM by Akash and Isha Ambani.

However, under the Rs 501 exchange offer, the 'effectively free' phone is not free anymore. You will not get any refund if you buy JioPhone through Monsoon Hungama offer as it is one-time payment purchase. If you want to avail of the effectively free offer, you will have to pay Rs 1500 for the JioPhone and the exchange offer won't be applicable.


Reliance Jio has already made live the registration for new JioPhone. All you have to do is visit the company's website and get yourself registered by giving your details including name, phone number, email address and area pin code.

Note: Reliance Jio has said that the Monsoon Hungama offer will start at 5 pm of July 20.
