Jio to deliver 6 million phones by October 19

Jio has said it aims to deliver 100-150 million phones over six months (5 million a week), but people close to the company have said it was also bracing for competition from other players.

MUMBAI:Reliance Jio Infocomm has dispatched the first batch of its 4G featurephones and plans to complete delivery of 6 million orders by Diwali.

The Mukesh Ambani telco informed a customer via its Twitter handle that delivery of the JioPhone has started in a phased manner to avoid inconvenience and “all customers who have done the pre-booking of JioPhone will receive it by Diwali,” which is on October 19.
