IT solutions provider HCL in distribution tie up with Dell India

NEW DELHI: IT solutions provider HCL Infosystems has partnered with Dell India for distribution of the latter's products in the country.

Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services (DDMS), the distribution arm of HCL Infosystems, will sell Dell's enterprise class products including servers, storage and networking products in emerging markets like tier 1 and tier 2 cities, the company said in a statement.

As part of the deal, DDMS and Dell will collaborate on marketing, sales and technical areas and overall go-to market activities.

DDMS will take care of the marketing related activities for Dell enterprise products and services and extend the sale through activities such as market research, advertising, trade shows, internet marketing.

HCL Infosystems EVP (marketing, strategy and business development) Rothin Bhattacharyya said the company will announce more such tie-ups in the next couple of months but he refused to share the name of companies.

Dell India President and Managing Director Sameer Garde said the move will help strengthen their presence beyond the top eight cities on the country.
