ISA to host Vision Summit 2008 in Bangalore

The India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor driven industry, will host global conference 'Vision Summit 2008' on February 18.

BANGALORE: The India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor driven industry, will host global conference 'Vision Summit 2008' on February 18.

Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh will be chief guest and the keynote address will be delivered by Azim H. Premji, Chairman, Wipro.

The theme of two-day conference is 'Evolving domestic market: Growth driver for the Indian electronics industry'.

Speakers are stalwarts in both design and manufacturing as also policy makers at the State and Central level. Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and economists will also share their perspectives.

According to Poornima Shenoy, President, ISA, "This is our third consecutive global conference. The emerging Indian market is the key driver of the industry impacting both design and manufacturing."

"It is important for ISA to highlight the intrinsic worth of India. We have the support of our Ministries at both the State and Central level to do so. This year's participation is from nearly 200 companies, with 300 plus delegates from over six nations," added Shenoy.
