iPhone SE to go on sale in India from April 8 at a starting price of Rs 39,000 for 16 GB
NEW DELHI: The latest iPhone SE will be available for sale across retail stores beginning April 8, pre-orders will begin on March 29.

This is perhaps the fastest retail launch for Apple ever, with availability dates and prices announced within a day of launch in the US.

iPhone SE will be sold at a starting price of Rs 39,000 for 16 GB, Apple said, though a higher variant of 64 GB will be made available, price of which has not been officially disclosed.

The India price is relatively higher than $399 starting price offered to US customers, which may disappoint some consumers.

However, the fast launch dates for India undeline the importance of the fastest growing smartphone market in the world, for the Cupertino-based smartphone maker.
