iPhone 5: Twitter abuzz with rumours

Much like blogs, the official Apple invite for 12th September had a huge impact on Twitter. Various people tweeted about the invite to show their excitement using the hashtag ' iPhone5', which began trending worldwide within hours of the invite going public. With the official invite in place, people started sharing videos, photos and links to sites that had compilation of rumours about what the next iPhone would feature including the rumour of the new iPhone being priced at US$ 800. This even led to the hashtag 800DollarsForAniPhone trending all over.
