Huawei gives 400 computers to Govt schools in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Huawei Technologies India has donated about 400 computers to about 50 government schools in Bengaluru. The computers were installed with free operating system and the software required for school education. The firm has also roped in a nonprofit to impart computer training to students in some of the schools where it has donated the computers, the company said in a press release.

Primary & Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait requested other companies too to help the government to spread computer education to children studying in government schools.

“Bengaluru has grown into an IT hub attracting global technology companies due to the abundant engineering talent pool available here. It is only befitting to provide the budding students from all walks of life, with the right infrastructure and tools to enable them become skilled professionals,” said Huawei Technologies India CEO William Zhao.
