HTC names India head Faisal Siddiqui as new South Asia chief

Jack Yang, who is the current president of South Asia, will be leaving HTC for personal reasons and will move into an advisory role during this transition.

NEW DELHI: Smartphone major HTC Corp. Monday named Faisal Siddiqui, currently vice president and head of India for HTC, as the new president of South Asia region, which includes, India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and emerging markets in Asia.

Jack Yang, who is the current president of South Asia, will be leaving HTC for personal reasons and will move into an advisory role during this transition of the South Asia business, the company said in a statement.

Having 18 years of industry experience, Siddiqui has been leading the HTC India operations since 2011. “With this new assignment, Faisal will lead HTC South Asia and strengthen our position as one of the market leaders in the region,” the company said.
