Smartphone maker HTC launched the HTC One series of mobile phones in India on Monday ranging between Rs 43,000 and Rs 20,000 targeting the high-end market and existing smartphone users looking to upgrade to a premium handset.

While 90% of the company’s smartphones use Qualcomm’s chipsets, the HTC One X uses chipset from Nvidia and sports a very strong polycarbonate body. Available at a market operating price of rs 37,899, the lightweight handset has a quad-ore processor and a 4.7 inch high definition screen. This model has been sold out in days, says HTC India country manager Faisal Siddiqui, and adds that it will be available in select 4G markets with an LTE enabled Qualcomm processor.

The HTC One V caters to be relatively mid-end of the smartphone market with a market operating price of Rs 18,299. Both phones come with Dropbox storage space of 25GB free for two years, which means that a consumer can store more than 10,000 high-quality pictures.

The company's India business has grown 100% over 2010 and claims to be in the top three players in the smartphone market, competing with Apple's iPhone.
