HP launches 'Shorty' in India

The compact system called 'Shorty' can hold up to eight servers, targeting the small and medium business enterprises.

MUMBAI: HP India on Thursday announced the launch of a compact system called 'Shorty', which can hold up to eight servers, targeting the small and medium business enterprises.

"Mid-size customers have big expectation for customisation, which are often tempered by restrictions of time, budget, power and staff. With these solutions, HP enables these businesses to take advantage of the benefits that a bladed infrastructure delivers," HP India Director Hemant Tiwari said.

The USP of Shorty is it could be deployed anywhere, do anything infrastructure that is easy to manage and architected for growth, he added.
