Hewlett Packard announces expansion plans for Gujarat

Printing and imaging solution major Hewlett Packard India (HP) today announced its expansion plans for Gujarat.

AHMEDABAD: Printing and imaging solution major Hewlett Packard India (HP) today announced its expansion plans for Gujarat.

"HP will expand its footprint to new locations and spread to 25 towns across Gujarat," HP India Imaging and Printing Group Director Samir Shah told reporters here.

"The company's support network in 10 towns will also be strengthened," he said adding "going forward, next wave of growth will come from the web."

Highlighting the growth prospects in the country, Shah said "an addition of 0.5 per cent to the existing personal computer penetration of 5 per cent in Indian market will mean increase of 215 million printers."

Gujarat is at the centrestage of business with over 800 big corporate houses and 3.2 lakh small medium enterprises present in the state, he added.
