HCL, Toshiba launch eco efficient notebooks
High technology product manufacturer, Toshiba in association with HCL Infosystems on Wednesday launched a range of eco-efficient consumer and business notebooks.

NEW DELHI: High technology product manufacturer, Toshiba in association with HCL Infosystems on Wednesday launched a range of eco-efficient consumer and business notebooks.
Compliant with the European Union (EU) RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive, this range includes the products in two categories -- business and consumer.
The business category would have features like thin and light PORTG M500 ultraportables with 12.1-inch diagonal XGA display and swappable optical drive, while consumer category would have Qosmio TM next-generation "four-in-one" audio-video notebook series with HD DVDROM, a Toshiba release said.
"Toshiba is proud to present our planet Earth friendly range of notebooks," Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd Manager - Distributor Business South Asia, Computer Systems Division, Ivan Kam said.
Toshiba also unveiled their new advertising campaign, 'Beyond Freedom', for the South and South-East Asian markets.
"Taking customers to a new level in digital lifestyle, beyond just mobile computing, we are also glad to unveil our newest campaign - beyond freedom. The new Toshiba slogan communicated the need to go beyond mobility and address each individual lifestyle of our customers," Kam said.
The company showcased a new digital lifestyle accessory category, 'Pala-Chan' that ranged from MP3 player to Intel Core2Duo powered range of notebooks.
