HCL Infosystems Q3 net up 19 pc at Rs 76 cr

HCL Infosystems today reported a 19 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 76 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, and declared an interim dividend of 100 per cent.

NEW DELHI: HCL Infosystems today reported a 19 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 76 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, and declared an interim dividend of 100 per cent.
The company had registered a profit of Rs 63.86 crore in the October-December period of 2005.
The Board of Directors of HCL has also declared a quarterly interim dividend of Rs 2 per share (100 per cent on an equity share of par value Rs 2 each), the company said in a release.
HCL's consolidated revenue grew 5.76 per cent at Rs 2,968.9 crore as against Rs 2,807.1 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2005-06. Its revenue from the computer systems business grew by 17 per cent at Rs 652.8 crore as against Rs 557 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Revenues from the Telecommunication and Office Automation business for the quarter increased 2.93 per cent at Rs 2,309.5 crore as compared to Rs 2,243.7 crore in the year-ago period.
"In the last quarter, HCL consolidated its position on two key frontiers. We commissioned our second integrated ICT manufacturing facility at Uttaranchal and launched four new desktop models for the Indian market," HCL Infosystems Limited Chairman and CEO Ajai Chowdhry said.
The distribution arm of the company also expanded its retail presence to 29 HCL Digilife outlets across the nation.
