HCL enters into $100 mn agreement with Xerox

IT firm HCL Technologies today said it has entered into a 100 million dollar six-year transformation agreement with document management company Xerox Corporation.

NEW DELHI: IT firm HCL Technologies today said it has entered into a 100 million dollar six-year transformation agreement with document management company Xerox Corporation.

The multi-regional data centre and transformation engagement with Xerox is worth 100 million dollar, a company official told PTI.

Under the engagement, HCL would centralise and standardise Xerox's data centres' infrastructure. It would manage Xerox's data centre hosting and migration, vitalisation, consolidation and storage architecture services across North America and Europe, the firm said in a statement.

The contract would span mid-range services, business continuity and disaster recovery for Xerox's information management operations, it added.

In addition, HCL would provide architecture and consulting services for new technology and system design, adoption and life-cycle improvement.

"Our engagement with Xerox is a testament to HCL's competencies and capabilities which continue to help the customer in its IT transformation by providing innovative IT services scalable to their needs," HCL America Inc (a wholly- owned subsidiary of HCL) Corporate VP and President Shami Khorana said.

Shares of HCL Technologies closed at Rs 112.10, up 5.01 per cent on the BSE today.
