Gulf Oil Corporation selects IBM servers, storage technology for better management of information

IBM Power 7 and System x servers and System Storage products were selected over other solutions because of the IBM platform's ease of management.

BANGALORE: IBM said today that Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd. has selected IBM servers and storage technology to allow its Lubricants division to manage, track, and leverage information and processes more effectively.

The new IBM Power 7 and System x servers and System Storage products were selected over other solutions because of the IBM platform's ease of management, cost-effectiveness and price-performance ratio, IBM said in a statement.
