Toshiba Qosmio F750

The Qosmio F750 is the world’s first laptop with a glasses-free 3D display. Adopting the same technology as Toshiba glasses free TVs (a lenticular screen and eye tracking technology), the Qosmio provides for a 3D effect without the need to wear bulky glasses.

It also features Toshiba’s 2D to 3D technology that converts any content to 3D on the fly. It has a 15.6-inch full HD display and runs a second generation Intel core i7 processor, 6GB RAM, Nvidia GT540M graphics with 2GB memory and has 640GB storage.

It also has a Blu-Ray optical drive, HDMI out, a powered USB 3.0 port and an HD webcam with Windows 7 Home Premium. It is expected to be launched internationally in August this year, at a price of US$2,100.

VEA Sports Watch

Aimed at sports and fitness enthusiasts, this watch from VEA digital comes with a 1.5-inch touchscreen display. Besides telling the time, the watch has a pulse monitor and displays jogging/running speed, distance travelled as well as calories burned.

Slot in a regular SIM card and it becomes a a cellphone too (only for calls, no SMS). It has a camera, Bluetooth, MP3 player and 8GB of onboard storage.

The watch comes with an SOS button — if you are in distress, just press the SOS button and the watch will send out location and other vital health information to a preset number. The watch is priced at US$578 for people who contributed to the project and will be available for them from July 14th. For the rest of the world, it will be available in September and priced at a hefty US$722.
