Global Spotlight: Sony PlayStation 4

Sony has unveiled the next generation PlayStation — it has an 8-core AMD processor, custom AMD Radeon graphics, 8GB DDR5 RAM and 500GB hard drive (user upgradable). It comes with a slot-loading BluRay drive, dual USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, Aux-in, optical audio, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth.

The redesigned DualShock 4 wireless Bluetooth controller features a capacitive touchpad, mono speaker, six-axis motion sensing system and 1,000 mAh battery. Unlike the Xbox One, the PS4 does not place restrictions on used games and does not require Internet connectivity to work. Price is set at US$ 399 and expected availability is November.
