Gionee launches Hexa Core powered GPAD G5 for Rs 14,999

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has expanded its smartphone line-up with the launch of a new phablet, GPAD G5, and priced it at Rs 14,999.

With the GPAD G5, Gionee is targeting the urban populace, promising the best in town features to entice its users, the company said.

“Our basic thought behind introducing this product was to give our consumers a superior product that can be handled with ease. There is a huge demand for premium features at affordable prices,” Arvind Vohra, India Head, Gionee Smartphones, said in a statement.

The Gionee GPAD G5 is powered by a Hexa (six) core 1.5 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM and runs on the Android 4.4 OS.

It comes in with a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with Dragantrail glassfull view screen for extreme visual enjoyment and floating touch to make the operation more convenient.

It features 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera, and an 8 GB memory, which is expandable upto 32 GB.

The 3G phone also features G-sensor, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and FM. It comes equipped with a 2400mAh battery.
