Fujitsu launches ultra-portable laptops

IT and communications solutions provider Fujitsu, which on Tuesday launched premium ultra-portable laptops, said it is aiming to capture a position among the top 10 PC players in the Indian market in next 1-2 years.

NEW DELHI: IT and communications solutions provider Fujitsu, which on Tuesday launched premium ultra-portable laptops, said it is aiming to capture a position among the top 10 PC players in the Indian market in next 1-2 years.

"We aim to sell 27,000-30,000 units in India in the next 1-2 years with a position among the top 10," Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific Associate Director Business Development Ivan Kam told reporters here.

The company announcing its entry in the Indian market introduced six premium ultra-portable laptops in the price range between Rs 30,000-1,00,000.

The company has appointed two distributors across India and would be signing up with dealers in the coming time, he added.

Fujitsu also intends to introduce its range of desktops in the country in the next three months, Kam said.
