Fujitsu launches range of notebook PCs in Indian market
Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific on Tuesday launched a new range of Made-in-Japan notebook PCs in India, including one that weighs only 630 gms, and an A4 sized one.
"Fujitsu has packaged these new notebook PCs with features such as expanded connectivity options, wide screen displays, high portability and versatality...", Ivan Kam, Associate Director, Business Development, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific, told a news conference here.
The Fujitsu LifeBook U1010 (3.5G) weighs only 630 gms and is enabled with mobile broadband. It's the world's smallest tablet-convertible ultra mobile PC (UMPC). The A4-sized LifeBook T2010 is armed with long lasting battery life -- up to 11 hours with a 9-cell battery -- for individuals constantly on the move.
The LifeBook T2010 comes with security features that prevent unauthorised access to information in the device, the Japanese company said.
"Built-in safety measures like the BIOS Lock, Hard Disk Lock, LifeBook Lock, Smartcard Support and Anti-Theft Lock slot ward off intrusion of any kind", a company statement said.
According to the company, the LifeBook T4220, a 12.1-inch convertible tablet PC, is aimed at mobile professionals, students and workers in vertical industries like healthcare.
The LifeBook S6510 provides an additional 12.5 per cent display area on a typical 13.3-inch notebook.
Kam said the prices of Fujitsu notebook PCs range from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh.
