Dell brings Venue 7 and Venue 8 Android tablets to India

Dell India has announced the launch of its Venue 7 and Venue 8 Android tablets in the country on Monday. The tablets were originally introduced in US back in October 13.

NEW DELHI: Dell India has announced the launch of its Venue 7 and Venue 8 Android tablets in the country on Monday. The tablets were originally introduced in US back in October 13.

The Venue 7 has a 7-inch IPS display and the Venue 8 has an 8-inch. Both these tablets come with similar features, except for their cameras. Both tabs are powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).

While the Venue 7 has a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera, the Venue 8 has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing HD camera.

The tablets also come with 2GB of RAM, microSD card slot, 16GB of internal storage (Venue 8 comes in a 32GB variant as well), Bluetooth 4.0, and 1280x800p resolution display. In addition, the tablets feature Wi-Fi, 4100 mAh battery and MicroUSB 2.0 port.

The Dell Venue 7 is priced at Rs.10,999 and the Venue 8 comes at a price tag of Rs. 17,499 for the 16GB variant, while the 32GB variant costs Rs. 21,499. Dell has not announced the pricing for the 3G variants yet.
