Counterfeit Samsung mobile phone parts seized: EIPR

CHENNAI: Fake electronic equipment sold under the brand name of Korean electronic major Samsung were seized during a raid on some shops here and 14 persons arrested in this connection, Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights ( EIPR) today said.

The raids were conducted by CBCID Video Piracy cell and EIPR sleuths in Ritchie Street.

The seized products were worth over Rs 50 lakh and included mobile phone batteries, mobile phone chargers and headsets, EIPR said in a release.
