NEW DELHI: Cisco's MD of sales for India and Saarc region, Purushottam Kaushik, has left the networking major after a stint of seven years, and may join Juniper Networks, whose India head quit recently, people familiar with the developments said.

One of the people said Kaushik's role within the organisation had got diminished lately and had been limited to managing some government accounts only. He was earlier responsible for creating and managing a new $2 billion business around Smart cities, Internet of Things, public safety and surveillance and Digital India initiatives.

Another person said Kaushik may join Juniper Networks and take up the responsibility to head its India operations. Juniper's India and Saarc managing director Amajit Gupta told ET he had left the company last month after a stint of just over a year.
