Celkon eyes to double sales this fiscal
The company is also looking at strengthening its smartphone portfolio with the launch of three new devices as the festive season sets in.

The company, whose revenues stood at Rs 606 crore, last year, is also looking at strengthening its smartphone portfolio with the launch of three new devices as the festive season sets in.
"We have seen strong growth in sales due to our differenciated offering. This year, we are confident of clocking Rs 1,200 crore in sales driven by smartphones sales," Celkon Impex executive director Murali Retineni told PTI.
Currently, the company sells about 6 lakh handsets a month with smartphones comprising about 20 per cent of it.
"We have three brands of smartphones -- Campus, Monalisa and Signature-- in the Rs 4,000 to Rs 20,000 price range. During the forthcoming festive season, we are looking at introducing three new smartphones. The focus going ahead would be on smartphones as that is where the market is heading to," he added.
"We are looking at touching sales of 10 lakh by December and are hopeful that a 30 per cent of that will be smartphones," Retineni said.
Celkon, which was the title sponsor for the tri-nation series featuring West Indies, India and Sri Lanka in the Caribbeans this year, has now partnered music stalwart AR Rahman for his road tour -- Rahman Ishq.
The company will launch limited edition music phones titled 'RahmanIshq' series next month as part of the tie-up.
