Canon launches PowerShot G16 in India

NEW DELHI: Canon India has introduced the latest addition to their "G" Series - the PowerShot G16 in India. The PowerShot features an all-new DIGIC 6 processor coupled with a new 12.1MP High Sensitivity CMOS sensor, as well as the ability to shoot Full HD1080p video at 60p.

Its high speed AF improves focus speed by shooting 12.2fps continuous shooting in (at) full resolution and 5.7 fps with AF. Additional features include built-in Wi-Fi, artistic HDR Scene Mode, as well as a bunch of star shooting modes designed to better captur the night sky.

The G16 with its 12.1 megapixel HS CMOS sensor with DIGIC 6 imaging processor features a zoom range of 5x, with a focal range of 28mm-140mm and this is expandable to 10x using Canon's new ZoomPlus feature.

The PowerShot G16 is priced at Rs 34,995 and is available at all the retail outlets including Canon Image Squares.
