Bharti in tie-up with Transcend

BANGALORE: Bharti Teletech, one of India's leading manufacturers and distributors of telecom and allied products, on Wednesday said it has entered into a strategic alliance with Transcend Information Inc, a leading global player in the memory accessories business.

Under the alliance, Bharti Teletech will sell and distribute the entire portfolio of Transcend products in India, the company said in a statement.

Transcend would be able to leverage Bharti Teletech's extensive retail network of over 36000 retailers spread across 3600 Towns in the country. The alliance will place Bharti and Transcend in a strong position to capitalise on the increasing demand for telecom and IT accessories in the Indian market, it was stated.
