"Our share in the mobile PC market is just 3 per cent. We now want to be the most admired enterprise in the new digital era by being amongst the top 3 players in the mobile PC segment in the next 2-years," ASUS Technology's general manager-System Business Group, Alex Huang, said in Mumbai.
He said the company would also engage with partners -city-wise and region-wise through ASUS premium partners to foster their relationship with end-customers.
"We would be making an investment of Rs 5 crore to have dedicated partners for both--consumer and commercial, as the characteristics are varied for both segments. We will also be using the funds for opening new showrooms here and for service ventures," Huang said.
The company would be launching ASUS NX90, which is designed in co-operation with Bang and Olufsen's chief designer David Lewis, this week in India.
About its plans for India, Hunag said, "We are planning to introduce our upcoming Eee Pad, Eee Tablet and Eee reader products in India by the year-end."
