APP Review: GreetZap for Android

GreetZap for Android: With this free app, you can send personalised, pre-recorded voice greetings to friends and family. When you first install it, you will need to make an account with your phone number, name and email ID. Strangely, the app limits you to 20 characters in the name field — many users will not be able to use their full name — only a nickname.

You can choose between English, Hindi and a few regional languages for pre-recorded messages. There is also an option to record a message in your own voice (which is limited to 20 seconds). The recipient will get a call stating your name and message — however there is no way for them to identify who exactly has sent the greeting if you use a nickname while sending it.

You can send a message to multiple people at once and you can also get delivery reports for each message. A nice touch is the ability to send physical greeting cards via post — this is done using an in-app purchase (Rs 299 per card).
