All you need to know about OnePlus 5

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus launched its flagship OnePlus 5 in India today.

At the smartphone's global launch two days earlier, the company revealed the important features, specifications and price of the OnePlus 5.

The device, available on e-commerce major Amazon, starts at Rs 32,999. The 128 GB one costs Rs 37,999. It will also be compatible with digital wallet, Paytm.

The 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED screen covered with Gorilla Glass 5 comes with a full-HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

It has an edgier design with the dual camera setup on the top left corner just like the iPhone 7 Plus.

The front remains unchanged with a front fingerprint button and a screen with narrow bezels. In addition, the signature alert slider switch will also be carried over from the OnePlus 3/3T.

The phone comes with Qualcomm's latest flagship class Snapdragon 835 processor which has Snapdragon X16 LTE modem supporting data speed of up to 1 Gbps, coupled with an Adreno 540 graphic processing unit (GPU).

The phone has two storage and RAM variants -– 64 GB/6 GB and 128 GB/8 GB.

It has a 16MP camera with f1.7 aperture plus a 20MP telephoto lens with f2.6 aperture. The phone has a 1x to 2x optical zoom plus a Portrait mode, quite like the iPhone 7 Plus.

The smartphone comes with company's Oxygen OS that features Google Pixel-like app drawer which can be accessed from any window without going back to the homescreen. A reading mode has also been added to the OS that adjusts the screen temperature setting automatically.
