Zerodha cofounder Nikhil Kamath backs wealth tech firm Bhive.fund

Bhive.fund plans to raise $1 million in a pre-Series A round to fuel its growth. It plans to use the funds to build technology and scale its operations, build a strong investment team, and educate customers on the alternative assets space.

Bengaluru: Alternative investments wealth tech platform Bhive.fund has raised funds from key investors, including Nikhil Kamath, cofounder of Zerodha. Kamath did not share the details of his investment.

Bhive.fund plans to raise $1 million in a pre-Series A round to fuel its growth. It plans to use the funds to build technology and scale its operations, build a strong investment team, and educate customers on the alternative assets space.

“Having Nikhil back is a big boost for us and a great validation for our business model. We already have term sheets and commitments to the ongoing pre-Series A round, which will be closing soon,” said Shesh Rao Paplikar, cofounder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Bhive.fund.


The company previously raised funds fromand other marquee investors. Gruhas, cofounded by Kamath and Abhijeet Pai of Puzzolana, is India’s largest proptech-focussed entity. Blume Ventures, a leading VC firm today, has several unicorns in its portfolio.

Set up in 2021 by Shesh Rao Paplikar, Sandeep Gupta and Monnappa Bayavanda, Bhive.fund said it has achieved product-market fit and hit $1 million in monthly sales. It helps individual investors invest in business opportunities, domestic commercial real estate and international real estate.

In 2021, Bhive.fund raised a seed round from the likes of Madhusudan, cofounder and CEO of KreditBee; Durgesh Kaushik, senior director, Coinbase; Alok Bajpai, CFO of Adani Connex, and others.

“I have always been a big believer in commercial real estate as an investment class. Technology is disrupting this segment and will bring in more investors through a fractional real estate mechanism,” said Sreeram Reddy Vanga, investing founder, Kofluence.
