Yubi secures Rs 75 crore from founder Gaurav Kumar

Yubi's founder Gaurav Kumar injects Rs 75 crore, boosting his total investment to Rs 330 crore. Additionally, EvolutionX Debt Capital has invested Rs 336 crore in a mix of debt and equity in the same round.

Chennai-based financial services platform Yubi’s founder and CEO Gaurav Kumar has invested Rs 75 crore in the company in a fresh equity round, the company said in a press note today.

This brings Kumar’s total investment in Yubi to Rs 330 crore. Additionally, the company has also raised Rs 336 crore in a mix of debt and equity from EvolutionX Debt Capital, a growth stage credit platform.

The company said it will use the funds to expand its operations in southeast Asia and the US, and also strengthen its business in the west Asia region.


Kumar said: “The funds will enable us to replicate our Indian success story in new international markets (and) supercharge our AI stack."

Yubi, a corporate debt solutions platform, has facilitated credit worth over Rs 3.2 lakh crore through more than 4,80,000 transactions. It serves over 17,000 enterprises and works with more than 6,200 lenders.

Founded in 2020, Yubi has raised $239 million from large investors like Insight Partners, B Capital, Dragoneer Investment Group, Lightspeed, and others. The company was last valued at $1.2 billion in 2022.
